Crystal ACT (Accuracy, Clarity, Transparency)

Our mission is to revolutionize cancer screening by addressing the quality challenges in this field.

The name Crystal represents the following properties, which are the main reasons for the existence of this company.

Crystal Accuracy: For many categories of diseases, DNA is believed to be the “crystal ball” to our state-of-health and/or its future. Crystal Genetics’ objective is to have the ultimate accuracy and predictive power to the state of our DNA, particularly in view of early detection of cancer.

Crystal Clarity: Crystal Genetics strives to provide not only the highest possible quality, but also the clarity into the evidence behind such quality. This is particularly true in the ability to properly screen for multiple cancers at early stages, using the non-invasive method of liquid biopsy.

Crystal Transparency: One of the main challenges with today’s validation processes is the lack of transparency to the outside world. Consequently, the support and decisions are internalized and are therefore subject to potential conflicts-of-interest. Crystal Genetics believes that the (reference material) data should be transparent to the world, in order to enable experts to critique the state of the predictions. In that spirit, Crystal Genetics has been sharing much of its reference data in precisionFDA, making it available for the experts in the field to view and critique the quality of the calls and predictions. PrecisionFDA has ~900 (genomics) community members, across over 430 organizations.
